GT vs MI IPL 2025

GT vs MI IPL 2025 Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya has been fined ₹12 lakh for maintaining a slow over rate during MI’s 36-run loss against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Interestingly, this isn’t Pandya’s first offense. He had already missed MI’s opening match against Chennai Super Kings due to the same mistake last season. As per IPL rules, if a captain violates the slow over rate rule twice, he faces a one-match suspension.

Another Loss for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025

Winning the toss, MI opted to bowl first. However, their bowling attack failed to make an impact—except for Hardik Pandya, who was economical and picked up two crucial wickets, including GT captain Shubman Gill.

Despite Pandya’s efforts, MI’s bowlers leaked runs, and GT posted a challenging total of 196/8 in 20 overs. In response, MI’s batting lineup faltered, leading to their second consecutive loss in IPL 2025.

What Next to Mumbai ?

Mumbai Indians, currently second-last on the points table, will look to bounce back in their next match against arch-rivals Kolkata Knight Riders on March 31.
