Rahul Chahar

Leg-spin bowler Rahul Chahar is very much likely to be part of the SRH released players list 2026. He was bought for INR 3.2 Crore in the Mega Auction, but only featured in one match this season despite SRH struggling with their spin bowling department. So don’t be shocked if Rahul Chahar is not with the side next season.

Mohammed Shami

A shocking decision we can expect from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) management this season is that Indian pace bowler Mohammed Shami might be released. The India international was signed for INR 10 Crore. But, he picked only 6 wickets in 9 matches with economy rate over 11. Shami underperformed from expectations and don’t be surprised if Shami is included in SRH released players list 2026.

Wiaan Mulder and Brydon Carse

SRH signed Brydon Carse in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. But the English pacer was replaced by Wiaan Mulder due to injury. Mulder didn’t appear in more than one match and it is very much confirmed that both the players won’t feature for SRH next season.

Abhishek Sharma was one of the top batter for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2025. The opening batter struggled initially but did really in the last few matches for SRH. Abhishek will definitely be in SRH retained players list 2026.

Abhishek’s opening Travis Head also couldn’t repeat the exploits from last season. The Aussie opening batter scored 374 runs in 12 innings. But he is also set to remain with the franchise for the next season.

Heinrich Klaasen, the highest paid player in the SRH camp with INR 23 Crore salary, is also set to remain with the side. The South African wicketkeeper batter was the team’s top scorer with 487 runs, scoring in all phases of the game. 

Ishan Kishan made his SRH debut with a century in his first match for the side. However, he endured a big lean patch thereafter. But as the season came to conclusion, Kishan improved his performance, playing some key knocks, which should be good enough for him to be included in SRH retained players list 2026.

Captain Pat Cummins and Harshal Patel finished the team as the joint-top wicket-takers for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2025. But players have extensive experience of playing in IPL and both the players will be back for SRH next season.

Sri Lankan pace bowler Eshan Malinga is also set to be included in the SRH retained players list 2026. The 24-year-old took 13 wickets in 7 matches for SRH after Mohammed Shami failed to deliver for the side. The right-arm medium pacer will be staying with the team for INR 1.2 Crore salary.
