Delhi Premier League 2026 is set to bring a month of T20 cricket back to the capital, with eight men’s teams, four women’s teams and a large group of established and emerging Delhi players taking part in Season 3. The tournament window has been confirmed for 31 July to 30 August 2026, while every match is scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

The men’s auction was completed on 1 July, giving supporters their first clear look at how the eight franchises will line up. Tejasvi Dahiya became the most expensive player at the auction, returning to South Delhi Superstarz through the Right to Match option for ₹40 lakh. Himmat Singh followed at ₹38 lakh for New Delhi Tigers, while Anuj Rawat joined Puraani Dilli 6 for ₹27 lakh.

Last updated: 5 July 2026. The tournament dates, venue, teams and men’s squads are confirmed. The detailed match-by-match fixture list had not been officially released at the time of this update. This page will be updated when the final fixtures and timings are announced.

The DDCA has confirmed that DPL Season 3 will begin on Friday, 31 July 2026 and conclude on Sunday, 30 August 2026. The entire competition will be staged at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. That keeps travel demands low and allows the league to run regular double-headers during its month-long window.

However, the complete fixture list—containing individual match dates, start times and team pairings—has not yet been officially published. Fans may find “expected schedules” on some websites, but those lists should not be treated as confirmed fixtures. Once the DDCA or the league releases the final timetable, it will be added here in a match-by-match table.

DPL 2026 venue

All matches are due to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The ground is the home of Delhi cricket and has also hosted international matches and Indian Premier League games. Its relatively compact boundaries can encourage attacking batting, although the surface can also reward spinners and bowlers who use changes of pace intelligently.

Using one venue gives every team similar conditions and turns adaptability into an important part of the competition. As the tournament progresses and the same square is used repeatedly, teams with varied spin options and batters comfortable against slower bowling may gain an advantage.

Delhi Premier League 2026 teams

Season 3 features eight men’s franchises representing different parts of Delhi. New Delhi Tigers and Outer Delhi Warriors, introduced in the previous season, remain part of the expanded competition.

  1. Central Delhi Kings
  2. East Delhi Riders
  3. New Delhi Tigers
  4. North Delhi Strikers
  5. Outer Delhi Warriors
  6. Puraani Dilli 6

Women’s teams in DPL 2026

The women’s competition will feature four sides: Central Delhi Queens, East Delhi Riders Women, North Delhi Strikers Women and South Delhi Superstarz Women. Their detailed squads and fixtures will be added after the league completes and publishes the official team lists.

DPL 2026 full player squads

The eight men’s franchises completed their squads after the 1 July auction. Availability can still change because of injuries, India duty or other cricket commitments, so the final playing group on match day may differ from the auction list.

Biggest buys at the DPL 2026 auction

The marquee round produced several important moves. South Delhi Superstarz paid the day’s highest price to retain Tejasvi Dahiya, while New Delhi Tigers also used their Right to Match card for Himmat Singh. Anuj Rawat was the largest signing made without an RTM card.

Leading players to follow in DPL 2026

The league’s appeal comes from the mix of recognised names and players trying to break into higher-level cricket. Harshit Rana, Nitish Rana, Ayush Badoni, Navdeep Saini, Suyash Sharma, Mayank Yadav, Lalit Yadav, Anuj Rawat and Simarjeet Singh bring experience from major domestic competitions or the IPL.

Just as importantly, the tournament gives less familiar Delhi players a month in which to make a strong impression. Tejasvi Dahiya’s ₹40 lakh valuation shows how quickly standout DPL performances can change a player’s profile. Young cricketers will be judged not only by overall runs and wickets, but also by whether they can execute specialist T20 roles under pressure.

Will Rishabh Pant play in DPL 2026?

Rishabh Pant was discussed as one of the headline names before the auction, but he does not appear in the final men’s squad lists from the 1 July auction. His availability is tied to national-team commitments, which take priority. Unless the league announces a later change, supporters should not assume he will participate in Season 3.

What makes DPL Season 3 important?

The Delhi Premier League has quickly become an important bridge between club cricket and the professional game. Established players bring attention and experience, but the competition’s deeper value lies in exposing emerging cricketers to televised T20 matches, franchise environments and pressure situations.

With eight men’s teams, more players now receive meaningful opportunities. The month-long schedule also gives coaches enough time to assess whether a player can adapt after opponents begin studying strengths and weaknesses. That makes the league more than a short showcase: it can reveal temperament, tactical awareness and consistency.
